The only bad note is a pretty dumb design problem, when using square filters: You can screw the filter holder only at 28 and 80 mm focal lenght. Otherwise the screw mount will be too inside the barrel and out of reach. Other problem with this situation is that you can't mount a lens hood. For 50€ shipped is still a pretty good lens. Dus met 28mm heb je een brede kijkhoek (breder dan je met je eigen ogen kan zien) en met 80mm zoom je als het ware in op een deel van het beeld.

This was the kit zoom lens that came with the Canon Rebel SLR my parents got me about 20 years ago, when I was a teenager. Finding it brought back a flood of memories, and I was happy to rediscover it.
I took a few snapshots with the 28-80mm at the park the day before I filmed this review and included them for reference. They’re not meant to be “great photographs,” just some samples to show you that the lens is a capable midrange kit lens zoom.
One thing that I didn’t cover in the video is the focusing ring. Manual focusing is a little awkward with it, something about it just doesn’t feel great. It autofocuses at a reasonable speed and makes some noise, but not a tremendous amount.If you’re assembling a Canon DSLR kit with a used camera and lenses, you might want to consider this kit lens if you prefer the 28-80mm focal length range – personally, I like this range better than 18-55mm. But if you have an 18-55mm and 55-200mm, I think that combination would serve you better.
